Privacy Policy
Zutt is a private, event-based photo-sharing app operated by Zutt App ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the choices you have.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your name and email, provided when you sign in with Apple or Google. Guests can use Zutt without an account (anonymous session), providing only an optional display name.
- Profile photo: optional, uploaded by you.
- Film content: the photos you capture, the title and settings of films you create, and your participation in others' films.
- Notifications: a technical device identifier (push token) used only to deliver notifications if you allow them.
- Usage data: product-usage events (e.g. "film created", "photo captured") and basic device information, collected via PostHog to improve the app.
- Purchases: paid plans are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details — only confirmation that a purchase succeeded.
2. How we use it
- To operate the service — creating films, storing and revealing photos, managing participants;
- To send notifications about your films (only with your consent, revocable in device settings);
- To understand and improve the product through usage metrics;
- To process plan purchases.
3. Photo privacy
Films are private by default. A film's photos are visible only to that film's participants, and — for scheduled films — only after the reveal time chosen by the host. We do not use your photos for advertising or to train artificial-intelligence models.
4. Who we share with
We do not sell your data. We use processors acting on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, photo storage, notifications) — US servers;
- PostHog (usage analytics) — US servers;
- Apple (purchase processing and notification delivery).
We may also disclose data where required by law or valid legal process.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account inside the app (Profile → Delete Account): this permanently removes your profile, the films you host (including their photos), your photos in others' films, and your account data. You may also request deletion at the email below.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including Brazil's LGPD), you may request access, correction, portability, deletion, and information about sharing, and you may withdraw consent. Contact contato@zutt.me.
7. Children
Zutt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), per-participant access rules in our database, and internal access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat protecting your data as a priority.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
